Questions and Answers

Q.  What is Freeze-Drying?
A.  Freeze-drying is a preservation process which allows us to dry flowers while maintaining their natural shape and color.

Q.  How soon do you need the flowers?
A.  The sooner (fresher), the better the results.  Flowers should be dropped off or arranged to be picked up as soon as possible.

Q.  How do I care for my fresh flowers before bringing them to Precious Petal Preservation?
A.  (1) Place flowers in a container with water or moisten the green oasis centered in your bouquet holder.  (2) Store in a refrigerator or use a cooler with disposable ice packets.  Keep away from fruits and vegetables.

Q.  How long do freeze-dried flowers last?
A.  FOREVER with proper care.

A.  Cost varies, depending on the size and display you choose for your keepsake.
Our displays begin around $350 and up.  For bridal flower designs we require a $125 deposit.

A.  Your flowers are considered a work of art and handled accordingly.
The actual freeze-drying process takes 12 days.  The entire freeze-dry and design process takes 12 to 16 weeks.
